General & Usage
Yes, within clear limits: 25 MB per file and 5 conversions a day, no account needed. Paid Pro and API plans (bigger files, batches, priority queue) are coming — see the pricing page.
There's no catch, just a small operation. Converter Flow is built and run by one independent developer, and the free tier's limits keep the server costs bounded. The upcoming Pro and API plans will fund the infrastructure. No ads, and your files are never read, analyzed, or sold — they're deleted within 24 hours.
No, you can convert files as a guest. However, creating a free account gives you access to an audit log of your metadata history, custom retention profiles, and higher concurrent batch limits.
Absolutely. The platform is fully responsive, and uploads go directly to cloud storage rather than through a web server, so converting from your iOS or Android device works the same as on desktop.
We support 200+ formats, specifically optimized for heavy files like MP4, MOV, DWG, and high-res PDFs, alongside standard image and document formats. View our complete Formats Library.
Privacy & Architecture
Yes. Your browser uploads files via pre-signed links directly to a secure cloud bucket, so our API web servers never touch or read your file contents. Only the isolated conversion worker opens the file, and everything is deleted automatically afterwards.
We use an aggressive, two-stage deletion process. Your original source file is deleted within about an hour of upload. The converted file stays available for download and is permanently wiped within 24 hours.
Never. Our conversion workers are completely automated and isolated. Once a job is complete, the worker aggressively wipes its temporary working directory, ensuring no trace of your data remains in memory.
Troubleshooting
First check the size: the free tier accepts files up to 25 MB. Beyond that, uploads go directly to cloud storage, so a network drop on your end can interrupt the stream — retry on a stable connection.
This happens if our edge network suspects automated bot traffic. Ensure you complete the security challenge. If you are using a strict corporate VPN or Proxy, it may block our real-time websocket connections.
Instead of a generic loading spinner, we stream the actual worker logs directly to your screen. Check the terminal UI on the conversion page to see exactly what our systems are doing. Highly complex CAD models or multi-hour videos will naturally take longer to encode.
